Somerset Kid: The John Coleman StoryWhen their fathers and neighbors went to war, Kentucky border state families became the target of renegades, deserters, and foraging soldiers from both sides of the Mason Dixon line. Professional soldiers often could not tell friend from foe even after the battle lines were drawn, much less helpless Kentucky women and children trying to survive just miles from the ravages of the war torn countryside.
After killing three foraging soldiers, the two youngsters embark on a journey that takes them to Texas, Oregon and California. One of the boys grew up to be a dedicated lawman, the other a dangerous gun fighter. Along the way, they are forced to defend themselves against renegade Kiowa Indians and ruthless outlaws. If they lived to tell their story, life would never be the same.
